Yah, I’m to try and never let so many big things all collide at once in my life again …
On the other hand … I had a lot of fun in China Town and in Quincy on Saturday!
And picking out tuxes on Sunday was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

Jamie and I made a verbal offer on a house in Freetown this week. We’re going to make the written offer / sign the P&S this week, too. Probably Fiday.
I’m pretty ecited. It’s an interesting house. It’s an octagon! It has an attached 2 car garage, but it’s on a slab, no basement, no […]

This weekend, I gave Jamie that ring I’ve been sitting on and popped the question.
She accepted.

Ok, I upgraded to Kubuntu 9.04, and let me tell you, nothing got better. I’m too busy and too frustrated, so I’m knee deep in the process of converting my laptop over to the regular gnome based ubuntu desktop, now.
Until KDE gets their act together, I’m done w/ KDE.

Well, I felt like I was on death’s door for the past 3 days. I went into work 2 days ago, because I had an important meeting that I felt like I couldn’t miss, so I was only walking around because of copius ammounts of DayQuil, Psuedafed, various cough drops, and caffeine.
I got a […]

Maybe after I upgrade / fix my laptop, I’ll have some time to probe all my book marks on delicious and remove the dead links and re-tag the ones I’m going to keep. It’s getting to the point, now, where delicious is almost useless to me.
*sigh*
and KDE 4 still sucks / pisses me off.

Jamie and I and the animals are starting to outgrow the condo. We’ve been making an effort to eliminate things we don’t need, but it’s still pretty cramped. We even still have a storage unit.

Actually, w/ KDE4. I’m just sick of the instability it introduced into my laptop. I’ve had an old partition on my drive from when the laptop’s previous own was dual booting, which is currently going to waste, too. So, this weekend, I’m making another backup of my home directory, and moving it to another machine, […]

So, I’ve been in and out of the doctor’s office a lot over the past couple weeks. Yesterday, I went to my eye doctor again, and to my general practitioner’s office.
So, as it turns out, the retina in my right eye is too thin in the upper right corner of my eye. What does […]

There is a distributed computing project based on the boinc architecture that is working to interpret data from a couple of large intereometers in the hopes of detecting evidence of Einsteins proposed gravitational waves.
I joined that project a few months back, and also joined a “team” within that project. The concept of teams within […]
