Engines of change
Ok, well, more like change of engines. My car’s engine decided to give up on Friday on the highway. I was on my way home from a friend’s house in Providence and I was only between 5 and 10 miles from home when it gave up on me. So, car is at the garage now to get an engine transplant. It should be done by Thursday evening. Just in time for my vacation, actually. In the mean time, my boss has been kind enough to let me work from home. I’m pretty lucky in that respect. I’m also pretty lucky that all that happened was my engine failing. Just a quarter mile down the road from where my car gave up, there was an accident requiring 6 cruisers, 2 ambulances, and a firetruck. *shrug*
At this point, I’m just counting down to when the care is ok, and when I leave for vacation …
