Inactivity
Sorry about the inactivity, folks. I’ve been busy with work, and I have 2 folks in the family who are sick (terribly bad stuff), and I’ve been working on a side project which has been taking up what little time health issues and work leave behind.
So, briefly, the project I’m working on is a web site that I’ve been meaning to create for a long time but never got around to doing. I’ll have a prototype / beta up soon, I hope. But for now, I’m going to keep it relatively quiet so no one else beats me to the punch. Of course, the whole is being done in Ruby on Rails. I should be fun when it’s complete. Once I have the beta up, I’ll be soliciting opinions / suggestions.
I’m getting ready for my upcoming camping trip, too. I’m kind of excited about this trip. I plan on not doing much at all. That is to say, my goal to relax and decompress a bit. We’ll see how that goes.
I’m going to be re-scheduling that sill Cisco test I failed, soon, too. I need to get going again on that whole certification process. I’ve sort of lost momentum in part because I was bummed out about failing that last test, and in part because of the family health issues I’ve been dealing with. But I only have until the 27th of May to re-cert, so I plan on taking the test again, soon, so I don’t have to re-cert the CCNA.
Work, ok, I guess. A couple of my larger accounts have expressed some degree of pleasure with the work I do for them, which is nice, but I just don’t feel as motivated as used to. I’m not sure what the problem is, though, I’m guessing it’s just me.
I got my tax returns back. WooHoo! I’m going to be using them (as well as my economic stimulus joke package) to completely pay off my credit card debt. This is going to leave me with plenty of savings each month for the rest of the year which is going to be a big help to buying a new car, and hopefully a house next year.
ok, that’s all I can think of, now. I’ll post more as it comes to me.
