Kubuntu 8.10 woes

Great. Now, post-upgrade, firefox crashes on me regularly. I can’t work like this. I hate to say it, but the Gnome flavor of Ubuntu is looking more and more apealing. Hopefully, some of the application problems I’m having w/ non-KDE apps are still KDE related and will be remediated by a switch to another environment.
