go gnome

Ok, I upgraded to Kubuntu 9.04, and let me tell you, nothing got better. I’m too busy and too frustrated, so I’m knee deep in the process of converting my laptop over to the regular gnome based ubuntu desktop, now.

Until KDE gets their act together, I’m done w/ KDE.

Sorry to hear that things aren’t working for you. Just updated from Ubuntu Intrepid to Jaunty myself and things are mostly nicer. Dual-monitor support on laptops is still a bit shaky, but I managed to get an X config working that Intrepid wouldn’t handle (22″ at 1680×1050 and laptop display at 1440×960; Intrepid could only handle both at the same resolution of 1280×1040 since the 22″ monitor couldn’t do 1440×960).

    How’s everything else going?
